Quarterly Progress Reports

January to March 2026

Maintaining the Manse

The manse continues to be cared for, with regular checks ensuring the property remains in a fair condition and routine maintenance tasks carried out as needed. We are also grateful to have welcomed additional gardening volunteers, whose support is helping to keep the gardens well tended.

Project Development

Good progress has been made in moving the project forward. Nine suitably qualified conservation architects were initially shortlisted, with five visiting the property alongside members of the project team. Following this process, Robert Davies Architects were appointed, in agreement with the Church Members, at the end of March. Work is now underway to develop option plans, including proposals for a single-storey extension at the rear of the church to accommodate the Community Cupboard.

Fundraising

We have begun important feasibility work to ensure we are well prepared to raise the significant funds required for each phase of the project. After careful consideration of three potential partners, Chell Perkins were appointed to support us in this work. They have already met with the project team and will be leading a workshop with the wider church community in April. This will help them gain a fuller understanding of our community connections and opportunities, enabling them to guide us in identifying the most effective and prayerful approach to fundraising.
